Four day training

  • The full four day training will give you all of the tools you need to
get EVERY learner in your setting to read

Who will find the training courses useful?

The training courses are arranged throughout the year. Schools may book individuals or groups of staff onto these SRS training courses. Additionally, interested support workers, carers and tutors are also welcome to book training.

    What do we offer?

The four day courses are intensive and practical. The simple Sound Reading System teaching methodology unlocks the complex English alphabet code in logical, incremental steps. The SRS ensures that both the teacher and the learner never encounter anything they do not understand. This is achieved by moving from the simplest concept and building in complexity with careful teaching.

Agenda of the four-day training course:

    • Teaching without the code: what happens?
    • The Alphabet Code: understanding the structure of the code
    • Practical: Learning to read: skills, knowledge and understanding
